Bluenest Virtual Reality
Is it possible to travel by drone in the same way we travel by cab? When this question, which seemed to come out of a science fiction movie, arose, there was no company capable of responding to this project, which, for many, seemed not ambitious, but fanciful.
It was through Bluenest, together with another company, that this concept began to take shape and become a dream come true.
The desire and revolutionary spirit to achieve a democratization of the air cab led the company to fight for the idea.
In addition, the ability to offer the minority user unique air transportation experiences, without the use of helicopters or private jets, was a challenge.
A challenge finally met, making Bluenest one of the leading companies in the new last-mile aviation thanks to vertiports.
His fame and impact was overwhelming during last year’s World Cup in Qatar.
A sporting event characterized by its long duration and the high level of controversy it arouses.
In addition, 2022 was presented as an ambitious year in which new technological proposals promised to bet high: the Qatar World Cup 2022 became the first event to host a new way of traveling through virtual experiences that left no one indifferent.
Qatar Soccer World Cup virtual reality experience
With the help of Two Reality, Bluenest was able to offer users new sensations: to experience through virtual reality what it would be like to travel inside a drone from Doha Airport to the different points that made up the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
This experience was possible thanks to the basic characteristics on which virtual reality is based to achieve a complete and real immersion in a scenario recreated by it.
In this case, the scenario that we wanted to bring to the virtual plane was the interior of a cab don.
The objective was to show passengers what the experience of moving around Qatar would be like using this new form of transportation, allowing the user to enjoy the views of the Arabian Peninsula from the sky.
The experience begins with take-off from the Vertiport and the approach to downtown Doha, and then continues over the city until landing near the main World Cup stadiums.
A virtual animation compatible with any hardware (cell phones, tablets and PCs) that allows users to experience, in first person, this new way of traveling with the use of virtual reality glasses.
